Anal Lube
An essential prep step for a comfortable and pleasurable experience, make it a ride like no other with our range of anal lubes.
The best anal lube to make your ride silky-smooth
Lubricant is an absolute must for butt play. Unlike the vagina, the anus doesn’t produce any natural lubrication, so you’ll need to give it a little helping hand. Whether you’re prepping for anal sex or exploring anal toys, up the pleasure factor with anal lube.
We stock a wide range of anal lubes for all types of scenarios and preferences. Our range includes silicone-based, water-based, hybrid, desensitizing, flavoured lubricants, and more. We offer many of the most popular anal lube brands, including Pjur, Swiss Navy, Adam and Eve, and Sensuva.
How to use anal lube
Not only does anal lube make penetration more comfortable, it also makes playtime so much more enjoyable. Here’s how to use it:
- Squeeze the preferred amount of lube into your hands and rub your hands together to warm it up. It’ll feel much nicer going on warm.
- Use extra lube for anal. As the anus is not self-lubricating, it’s important to use a generous amount for any type of anal play.
- Apply lube inside the anus, as well as outside the body part, condom or anal toy that you plan to use.
- Place a towel underneath you to protect your sheets or furniture from lube and other liquids - it can get a bit messy!
- Use lube during foreplay. Lube is not just for penetration! Bring it out during foreplay to enhance arousal. You can even try applying lube to your nipples, clitoris and vulva, or use an all-in-one massage oil and lube for a sensual massage. Always ensure you clean your hands or toys first if going from anal to vulva, clitoral or vaginal play.
- Re-apply when required. Depending on the type of anal lube you’re using, some may last longer than others. However, be sure to monitor your and your partner’s needs, and apply more lube when it starts to dry out.
Which lube is good for anal?
There are so many options! The three main types of anal lube are:
Water-based lubricants
Water-based anal lube is safe to use with latex condoms and is easy to clean up as it doesn’t stain most fabrics. It’s also great for people with sensitive skin and can be used with vibrators or other anal toys.
However, water-based lubricant shouldn’t be used in the shower or with water as it will rinse away. You may also need to re-apply more often during sex or foreplay, as water-based anal lube tends to dry out quicker than other lubes.
Silicone-based lubricants
Silicone-based lubricant is safe to use with latex condoms and tends to hold up well in water. It’s much longer lasting than water-based lubricant. However, silicone-based anal lube may be more difficult to clean up, and you’ll need soap and water to wash it off your body.
You may want to place a towel below you as silicone-based anal lube can stain clothing and bedsheets. You should also avoid using silicone lubricant with any silicone anal toys as it could cause them to deteriorate over time.
Oil-based lubricants
Similar to lotions and petroleum jellies, oil-based anal lube typically holds up well in the shower and are a better alternative for external sexual activities like hand jobs and sensual massages.
You may use oil-based lubricant for penetrative sex, however, it’s not safe to use oil-based anal lubes with latex anal toys or latex condoms. Oil-based lubes can cause the condom to break, placing you at high risk of STIs. Like silicone-based lube, oil lubricant can be difficult to clean up and may stain clothing and bedsheets.
